Since our inception in 1953, Belair Sitework Services has been and still is in a Relentless Pursuit of ZERO. On every job, we strive for ZERO incidents and ZERO injuries. Why? It’s the right thing to do for our stakeholders. Who are our stakeholders? Those affected by what we do.

Our mantra – IF YOU SEE IT, YOU OWN IT! Though our goal is prevention, our employees are trained to recognize hazards and understand that mitigating the situation is everyone’s responsibility. As defined by OSHA a “Competent person” means one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions, which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them.

Belair integrates safety into every aspect of the job from start to finish. We have developed systems in conjunction with a strong safety culture to provide a work environment that protects people and property.
Our relentless pursuit of zero incidents and injuries is demonstrated by every employee in the company and is reflected by an outstanding safety record.

Since 1953, Belair’s mission has always been to serve. Our reputation for integrity and honesty has been the most valued aspect of our service to the construction industry. Our skilled management teams have the experience and knowledge to give you the service needed to add real value your toughest projects. Providing site-work and prime contracting services is our business.

“Our overall Corporate level Mission is to serve the needs of our stakeholders. Protecting your investment is our specialty. Stakeholders are those that are affected by our work or what we do. Stakeholders include our employees; our subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors; the families of our employees and of our subcontractors; our customers; and of course, the communities in which we work. One can say this is Belair’s reason to exist.“ -Mark Murlowski

Belair started implementing the principals of Lean Construction in 2005. Our journey continues to evolve yet our primary goal remains the same; facilitate and drive cost reduction by providing the best value to our Customers. This doesn’t mean cutting corners, instead we challenge ourselves to find a better way to produce a quality product every time.

As a leader in “Lean Construction” we utilize a set of management principles, tools and best practices modeled after the Toyota Production System. Our Lean technologies are designed to identify and eliminate WASTE in all phases of the construction process.

By Producing / Providing what is needed, when it is needed, with the minimum amount of materials, equipment, labor and space; Belair services offer saving and efficiencies not easily identified in a typical “bid/build” project. At Belair we focus on the whole value stream, creating flow among the value-adding processes from conception to completion. The goal is to provide the “best value” to our customers.

Henry A. Murlowski founded Belair in 1953, after his time serving our Country in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II. A carpenter by trade, Henry as Belair built hundreds of single-family homes and thousands of multi-unit homes through the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s.

By the early 1970’s Henry’s boys, Mark and Michael Murlowski joined in the business. In the late 1970’s, having acquired a sizable inventory of heavy equipment, Belair added demolition, earthwork, utilities, and environmental to its commercial services.

Mark and Michael Murlowski became the main owners of Belair as “Hank” partially retired. The primary work focus was steered to Heavy Civil Construction and geographical diversification.

We have refocused our mission into becoming a premier site work services company specializing in safety critical multi-division projects. Today Belair has offices in Colorado, Minnesota, and Florida with traveling teams handling remote/ specialty projects throughout various regions of the United States.

“I am honored and humbled to have had the profound privilege of 5 decades, working along side the hundreds of dedicated people that have helped formed my Father’s company into what it is today.” Mike Murlowski
