As part of the CBP Port Modernization Program, the Department of Homeland
Security received ARRA funding to modernize the forty-three (43) land ports of
entry owned by CBP. Belair Sitework Services received subcontracts for the site
development of four ports of entry spanning across the US and Canadian border
within North Dakota.
Belair’s scope of work included;
Land clearing * Demolition of existing port buildings * Correction of
unsuitable soils * Mass excavating and grading * Storm and sanitary sewer
installation * Watermain installation * Concrete paving * and Asphalt paving.
All work at the different sites ran concurrently without interruption
to existing port operations. Despite facing record setting rain events,
as well as many logistical hardships, Belair completed the work as scheduled.
