Citrus County Landfill - Lecanto, FL
7 Acre Closed Area Re-Closure and Landfill Gas System. This project consisted of the re-closure of an existing 7-acre landfill cell that required soil relocation, gas vent installation, Leachate force main work, re-grading and the installation of a new LLDPE Cap that was welded to the existing bottom liner. The project also included the re-grading and improvement of the landfill’s storm water features and construction of a landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) including 10 vertical landfill gas extraction wells, several thousand feet of underground HDPE gas collection piping, a condensate collection system and a new landfill gas blower.
