SOLUTION EXAMPLES
Installation of an HDPE water service line, from a submerged intake structure to a land side pre-fabricated pump house. The water service line was installed at the bottom of a lake, approximately 2000 feet out from the shoreline.
This installation required the use of commercial scuba divers and several pieces of floating support equipment. This project required installation of a water line beneath federally protected vegetation at the shoreline. The work was completed without impact.
Remote project location.
Limited site access for equipment, materials and deliveries.
Bed rock conditions were encountered and rock blasting successfully performed.
Specialized divers and equipment were required to accomplish the lake side portion of the work.
Value Engineering was required.
124’ Preconstructed walking bridge installed over an active railroad track.
118’ Preconstructed walking bridge installed over creek.
413’ Boardwalk installed over marsh, supported by helical piles.
Concrete abutments to support the bridges included steel driven pile.
Some work occurred in the winter months to allow access to areas with soft ground conditions. Work required coordination with an active railroad and occurred adjacent to environmentally sensitive areas (ie., creek and designated wetlands).
